Western-Inspired Capitol Reef National Park Elopement

A magical day spent exploring remote areas of Southern Utah’s deserts – truly there is nothing like it. Capitol Reef is such a special & unique national park. It feels like an untouched hidden gem, so completely different than other parks. Cece & Derick’s personal details emphasized how ethereal this desert feels, a western theme put into every detail, like Cece’s cowgirl boots. The turquoise jewelry accents also emphasized this vibe, leaning into the remote landscape.

We had a full day, starting with Cece & Derick getting ready together at the cutest desert cabin. Surrounded by towering canyons, they shared an emotional and beautiful ceremony before celebrating with delicious pie from the park’s own Gifford House.

As the sun started to paint the sky with desert colors, we hiked up to the most incredible overlook to witness the sun set in the distance. It really was a surreal experience, being surrounded by the cliffs, desert flora, and the most amazing sunset.
