Colorado Springs Mountaintop Proposal

Layla thought they were just getting some couples photos done while she was in town visiting James..turns out him and I were in on a very special secret the whole time ???????? What a perfect evening spent hanging with these two and getting to witness such a beautiful love story!

Layla & James are the absolute most fun ever. She reached out to me about a week before she was going to be in Colorado Springs visiting James, and I was so stoked for such a fun mountaintop couples session! The excitement definitely doubled when James messaged me later and let me know he was planning to propose to her during the shoot! James and I started planning the logistics of timing and how he was going to ask Layla. Then, halfway through our shoot, he surprised her by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him!

These two are just the freaking sweetest together – they have the most fun playful energy and their love is so evident in these images. It was the perfect fall day, complete with beautiful yellow aspens, a glowing orange sunset, and the alpenglow turning the mountain peaks a beautiful golden pink.

There’s honestly not a lot more exciting than a Colorado mountaintop proposal!
