Surprise Blue Hour Beach Proposal At Sleeping Bear Dunes

A couple weeks ago, my sweet sweet friends Tara and Kyle got engaged and I was so happy to be a part of it. We drove up to Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan early morning and set up the teepee and hung out on the beach for a while before Tara and Kyle showed up. 

I’ve never seen anyone go as far above and beyond as Kyle did with this! He enlisted all of our talented friends and gave them each their unique responsibilities to make it all it come together, and it did so well. About 25 of us hid while Kyle proposed. He walked her up the lakeshore and brought her into the teepee where he had written her a note. They had a moment to themselves and when they finally came out, they shared the sweetest hugs and then shortly after we all ran back onto the beach and celebrated their engagement! And we had the absolute best of luck – the forecast said it was supposed to be storming all of Friday night and Saturday, but it held off until right after we began our way back towards Indy and left us with the loveliest of soft skies. 

That night all 25 of us stayed in a little Airbnb south of Sleeping Bear Dunes and woke up to a breakfast made by Kyle and some others, and made our way back to the dunes for a while.
