Bre & Chase’s wedding weekend was the perfect example of what makes a Garden of the Gods micro wedding so meaningful — a celebration focused on connection, intention, and the kind of beauty you can only find here in Colorado Springs.

They tied the knot on a cool July day, wrapped in the dramatic red rock formations and golden light that make Garden of the Gods feel almost otherworldly. It’s one of the most magical places in Colorado, and it was the perfect backdrop for a weekend that blended adventure, intimacy, and heartfelt celebration.

Their wedding unfolded over two days, starting with a quiet, emotional vow exchange tucked away in a hidden mountain spot. With nothing but sweeping mountain views and the rustle of summer wind around them, Bre & Chase chose to speak their promises privately — just the two of them, fully present.
This moment set the tone for everything else: grounded in their love, intentional in every way. After their vows, we spent the rest of the day wandering through Garden of the Gods, hiking among the towering red rock formations, and exploring the rugged canyon areas that give Garden of the Gods its character. Every turn opened into a new scene — soft light, jagged ridgelines, and the sweetest little moments between them. We (I) may have also almost stepped on a rattlesnake during our hike at Garden of the Gods, but luckily realized quickly enough that it was not actually a stick.

Day two was all about celebrating with their closest family and friends. They got ready at the charming historic Mining Exchange hotel downtown, where the morning felt calm and full of anticipation. Once everyone was dressed and ready, we made our way to a local brewery for a laid-back cocktail hour. It was such a fun way to ease into the day — drinks flowing, family telling stories, and Bre & Chase glowing in the middle of it all.

For their micro wedding ceremony, we returned to Garden of the Gods, where the red rocks rose around us like giant cathedral walls. The late-day light fell softly over their guests as Bre & Chase exchanged their vows again — this time witnessed by the people who’ve shaped their lives. There wasn’t a dry eye anywhere. This is exactly why I love photographing micro weddings: even in a place as vast and dramatic as Garden of the Gods, the emotion still feels close, warm, and deeply personal.

The celebration wrapped up at the Mining Exchange, where their reception space felt intimate and glowing — beautiful tablescapes, warm ambiance, and some truly incredible food. It was the kind of evening that invites everyone to slow down, settle in, and just enjoy being together. The perfect ending to a two-day celebration that felt wholeheartedly them.

Bre & Chase’s Garden of the Gods micro wedding is one I’ll never forget — full of intention, adventure, and those subtle in-between moments that make a day feel truly special. Colorado Springs will always be one of my favorite places for intimate weddings, and theirs is the perfect reminder of why. If you’re dreaming of a celebration that blends natural beauty with heartfelt connection, this place is magic.
